Immerse yourself in the art of herbal medicine with a hands-on, seasonal apprenticeship designed for aspiring home herbalists. Be part of a community of new and practiced herbalists where ritual and learning are shared. Classes are hosted in Nonna's Garden, located in Saco, ME.
What You’ll Learn:
Plant Identification**: Develop the skills to recognize and forage wild medicinal plants safely and sustainably.
Medicine-Making**: Gain practical experience creating herbal remedies such as extracts, salves, teas, infused oils, syrups, mocktails, and more.
Body Systems and Herbal Interactions:** Gain a understanding of the body’s systems—such as digestive, respiratory, circulatory, and nervous—and how specific herbs support their function and promote balance.
Holistic Wellness:** Understand how to integrate herbs into daily life to support health and well-being naturally, with an emphasis on system-wide harmony.
Traditional Knowledge**: Delve into the rich history and cultural significance of herbal medicine, blending ancestral wisdom with modern applications.
